TWO SPOTLIGHTS of solar-white intensity arc downward, one aiming stage left, the other to the right. A sudden jerk of the guitar from the illuminated figure at the left is answered by a peal of PA feedback. The unruly sound gradually increases in volume until it's a piercing squall leaving concertgoers covering their ears. Still partially shrouded in darkness, the bassist tenses; the drummer raises his arms. Then:
