Gail Ann Dorsey: Bimbo Backlash — Gail Force

Sheryl Garratt, The Face, July 1988

THE REIGN of the bimbo over the British charts has been a long one. There's absolutely nothing wrong with pretty faces fronting other people's songs (would you want to see Stock, Aitken & Waterman on Top Of The Pops every week?), but when it comes to them fronting other people's voices, you worry. So it comes as some relief to see the rise of Gail Ann Dorsey: singer, songwriter, bassist, and definitely no bimbo.
