Everybody's talking to Lisa Robinson

Dave Marsh, Rolling Stone, 4 May 1978

NEW YORK — IT IS conceivable that America's most influential rock byline has never appeared in Rolling Stone. Lisa Robinson's natural turf is self-created and self-perpetuated. For the past five years she has edited Hit Parader, one of the oldest of the rock fan magazines. She appears frequently in words and pictures in the New Wave bible Rock Scene, which is edited by her husband, Richard, a record producer (Lou Reed, David Johansen) and professional sleight-of-hand performer. And for the past eighteen months, Robinson has written a twice-weekly column for the Field Syndicate, which appears in about a hundred newspapers.
