WHEN ANNIE LENNOX and Dave Stewart opened for Roxy's 'comeback' as two-fifths of The Tourists, I thought there was definitely something there, but I never expected them to have more to say about modern artifice than the main act. Yet with 'Sweet Dreams' – the first really coherent Eurythmics LP – they provide not only an immaculate post-disco view of urban romance as a minefield of cliches; they also explore a few aspects of what this means.
