D.J. Fontana, 1931-2018

DOMINIC JOSEPH "D.J." Fontana died in Nashville on 13^th June. He was aged 87 and was suffering from complications of a broken hip. From 1954 to 1968 he played drums behind Elvis Presley and appeared on approximately 460 of Presley's recordings including, 'Jailhouse Rock', 'Heartbreak Hotel' and on Presley's 1968 TV "Comeback Special".
