Debby Boone: Midstream (Warner/Curb); Shaun Cassidy: Under Wraps (Warner/Curb)
Mitchell Cohen, Creem, November 1978
THIS IS some trap. Can a writer for this magazine retain some credibility and still say kind things about Shaun and Debby, without fixing one's reviewer face in a contemptuous sneer and making witty remarks about this pretty-boy pin-up and this confessed-in-print virgin? Debby's dad, it needn't be recounted, was a genuine musical villain, one of the people responsible for rock's WASP-ization, who made it so the right to rock was not earned, but assumed.
