WE HAVE BEEN THIS WAY BEFORE. Many times in fact, since 1967, when Scott Walker discovered Jacques Brel and embarked upon a most contrary solo career which saw him evolve from the Robbie Williams of his day into the Gary Barlow. Bourgie Bourgie's Paul Quinn, Strangelove's Patrick Duff and Tindersticks' Stuart Staples, lovelorn men with big voices and widescreen arrangements to match, have all come and gone, gathering a smattering of devoted acolytes without quite hitting the commercial home run that seemed theirs by right. And now comes Liam McKahey and Cousteau.
