IT'S SEVEN YEARS since Alan McGee "discovered" Oasis blowing 18 Wheeler off the stage in King Tut's, Glasgow. Since then, his Creation label has gone from champagne supernova to a bitter end — and McGee's re-emergence with the fledgling Poptones label has hardly been met with universal approval. The stock-market flotation netted a reported £18m, but critics suggest the man has lost his A&R Midas touch.
