Climax Chicago Blues Band: A Lot of Bottle (Harvest)

Roy Hollingworth, Melody Maker, 19 December 1970

THERE LIES on this album one of the most exciting, imaginative guitar solos I've heard for a long time from Pete Haycock on 'Seventh Son', a monster of a track, well worth spending album money just to catch this — but the fact is there are ten more thumping blues things to accompany it from a band that I've always, rated as one of Britain's most consistently good units.
