THE LAST time I went to see the principle boy of the British music industry, some pop-crazed teddygirl poked her umbrella in my eye. That was in 1962 and, while it would be an exaggeration to claim that last night's hazards included flying rattles and runaway bathchairs, the transformation of Cliff Richard into a family entertainer really does constitute a remarkable phenomenon.
