Cher plays it low-key with Black Rose

"A LOT OF people began laughing the minute they heard my name," says a slightly frustrated Cher, describing the initial response to her latest musical incarnation — as the frontwoman in a New Wave-style band called Black Rose. "Maybe I'm not talented," the thirty-four-year-old singer muses. "I always think maybe I'm just the Dinah Shore of the Sixties."
