WHEN A group has a guitarist with Donald Sutherland's face and Huntz Hall's wardrobe, a drummer named Bun E. Carlos who looks like Rod Steiger playing an undertaker, and a singer with Frampton cutes, you've got to make a decision. Either you hate them right off or you slit open the shrink and investigate. This private ear luckily sidestepped the visuals (an amazing asset if you can dig it), and sat down with the music before making a decision. What a great group!
