Buddy Killen, 1932-2006: Nashville record man and music publisher

BUDDY KILLEN, the highly successful Nashville music publisher, songwriter and record man, died of liver and pancreatic cancer on November 1, 2006 at age 73.  On the record front, he headed the Dial label and was responsible for reviving the flagging career of R&B/soul artist Joe Tex in the 1960s. Killen also had close affiliations with country music and rock 'n' roll.
