MY MOTHER warned me about getting into cars with strangers. Perhaps she should have also told me about the dangers of accepting voyages into strange record collections. A few nights ago, a black DJ acquaintance of mine became aware of my mission to "get a life" and decided he was the person to give me one. (Oooer — Ed) His methods came highly recommended and were carefully prescribed, involving gargantuan amounts of psychedelic substances, one tiny record player and the collected works of Parliament, P-Funk and Funkadelic.
