Bobby Womack: Resurrection (Continuum Records 19401; CD and cassette)

Amy Linden, The New York Times, 9 October 1994

BOBBY WOMACK, one of soul's unsung heroes, hasn't put out an album since the mid-80's. The man who played with the legendary Sam Cooke and wrote 'It's All Over Now' for the Rolling Stones, found himself almost destitute, abandoned by the music he loved. Resurrection is an apt title for Mr. Womack's 33rd album because the spirit of redemption haunts every note.
