Bloomfield/Kooper/Stills: Rock's First Supergroup?

MIKE BLOOMFIELD, Al Kooper and Stephen Stills were between gigs at the time they recorded Super Session for Columbia Records in 1968, with Bloomfield having abandoned the Electric Flag after just one album, Kooper the victim of a coup d'etat that ousted him as leader of Blood, Sweat & Tears, and the pre-CSN(Y) Stills without a home following the demise of Buffalo Springfield.
