With Icelandic indie stadium-fillers The Sugarcubes on seemingly permanent hold, singer Bjork Gudmundsdottir launches her solo career this month with a single, ‘Human Behaviour’. She has recently relocated to London, and her impressively eclectic album Debut, produced by Soul II Soul’s Nellee Hooper, follows in June. As an unmarried mother with a six-year-old son, she has had to face more than her fair share of problems. Having a positive attitude helps, but not when you’re faced with continual pessimism from others...
