Phil Sutcliffe, Q, September 1991

ON MAY 7, Beverley Craven did a show in Enschede, Holland, then she caught a plane back to England to record Top Of The Pops the next day because 'Promise Me' was up 18 places to 15, before hopping back across the North Sea to play The Hague on the 9th, Hamburg on the 11th, and shuttling home again to sing 'Promise Me' on the "Kurd-Aid" Simple Truth concert on the Sunday, and back for a Bonn gig on the 13th, on to Stuttgart and Freiburg, then the red-eye to Heathrow for a live rendering of 'Promise Me' at 8.30 on TV-am and another flight to play Munich later that same day, stepping off stage on to the band bus for a 12-hour drive to perform in Milan on the 17th.
