GOING TO The Shrine in sleazy downtown LA is a bit like going to the pictures, a sort of giant Odeon with lumpy seats and gilded camels on the wall. Used to be that seeing Be Bop Deluxe was a bit like going to the pictures too – all those screens and movie clips, extracts from sci-fi films, robots, factories and seagulls.
