IT WAS THE first day by the lake when Band of Horses' singer Ben Bridwell saw the curtain twitch. He was staying at the isolated, once thriving and now desolate, freezing resort town of Moclips, Washington, USA to let his mind wander in the loneliness so new songs would come.
