Jeff Apter has been writing professionally for almost 20 years, having spent five years as Music Editor at Australian Rolling Stone. He is a contributor to Vogue and GQ magazines and also writes for The Sydney Morning Herald, The Bulletin and Australian Hi-Fi. His work has been published in numerous newspapers, magazines and websites, while his views on popular culture have been aired on MTV, Channel [v], and many other TV programs, including the upcoming Great Australian Album series. He has also worked on DVDs for the bands Silverchair, You Am I and Powderfinger. While resident in the USA during the late 1990s, he interviewed and wrote about such icons as Aretha Franklin, Robbie Robertson, Patti Smith, Frank Black, Lucinda Williams and many others, filing stories for various newspapers and magazines, plus such on-line sites as Addicted To Noise, Sonic Net and New York Rock.

Jeff lives in Sydney with his wife Diana, daughter Elizabeth and a wall-to-wall record collection.
