Bob Dylan: The Bootleg Series Vol. 4: Live 1966 (The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert) (Columbia/Legacy)
Mac Randall, Musician, January 1999
THIRTY-TWO years ago, Bob Dylan got into a little disagreement with his audience during a tour of England. A lot of his English fans at the time were folk purists who would have liked nothing more than to keep Bob strumming his acoustic guitar and bewailing social injustices forever. But Dylan had different ideas. He wanted to play electric rock & roll with a full-volume band, dress in mod clothes, and sing about leopard-skin pillbox hats and binoculars hanging from the head of a mule.
